Despite embarking on their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are learning very quickly. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS ought to be sufficient to seal straight passage to the last 16, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the visiting side.
