The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unjustified” travel bans imposed by the United States against five European individuals working on fighting online hate and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

European Leaders Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the visa restrictions were placed on figures that were at the heart of campaigns to enact laws governing US-based technology firms.
